Welcome Lincoln!

Well, I am officially an aunt again. Amber went to the doctor's office yesterday for her weekly checkup and the doctor sent her to the hospital around noon. Just a few short hours later, Lincoln was born. I'm a bad aunt and don't know all the details. I do know he weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and has the chubbiest cheeks! Dan, Caroline and I got to the hospital just a few minutes after he was born. Caroline is beyond thrilled! However, when she and I were giving him his first bath, Lincoln decided to tell us how he felt about being naked and wet! Caroline turned to Amber and said, "I think I'm starting to get tired of him like with Wrigley"! Guess she forgot that babies like to cry!

Better late than never

I know that it's way past Christmas, but I really wanted to post these pictures of my family! We went to the Dallas Arboretum one beautiful, sunny day. We walked all over and my mom fell in love with the winter in Dallas (I wonder what she would think if she'd been here this past week!). One night, while they were here, Dan and I introduced them to the Wii. Even my coordinationally challenged mother got into the fun! I loved having my family here in my home...I just wish that it was closer so that it could happen more often. I'm so thankful for Godly parents and their influence in my life. Even though I was not a "perfect" or even close child/teen, I know that it would have been even worse if not for the Biblical upbringing my parents gave to me. I, also, really miss spending time with my siblings. Dan doesn't really think that we "interact" since books are always open no matter what is going on around us (I just call that multi-tasking!). However, I can always count on my siblings to remember some crazy thing we did growing up and they never fail to remember embarassing moments from my past. If you guys read this, I LOVE YOU!
